Abdul Ahmed is the president of AKA Comp Solutions, a Chicago based technology solution provider, with a specialization in incorporating technology with the school curriculum in a very seamless way.A graduate of DePaul University, Abdul started his career with a state funded service program ‘Bridging the Digital Divide’ in which he was responsible for working with different schools in Chicago to bridge the technology gap in the school.Using this background, a heart for providing service and his knowledge of system development, in 2006, Abdul established AKA Comp Solutions, a company dedicated to providing service to schools in the underserved communities. The sole mission of the company was to find ways for schools to adopt technology and build a 21st century learning environment for the students.
A major disparity of technology in the schools located in the underserved communities’ fueled the establishment of AKA Comp Solutions. Till date, Abdul has focused on bridging the technology divide. Over the years, Abdul has built a close working relationship with the Archdiocese of Chicago, the Chicago Public School, and the Illinois Network of Charter Schools and has served a number of schools who subscribe to these groups.
A number of achievements have been associated to the AKA Comp brand since its establishment in 2006. Abdul has set up the state of the art video conferencing rooms for schools to allow students to experiences places that they otherwise would not go.
